I have been to Israel about 30 times mainly on UJA missions. The trip with Senator Armstrong and my friend from Denver may be the most important of all.
You made the experience very meaningful – your humor and understanding will leave a lasting impression on all of us.
Thank you and may your life be meaningful and I hope you continue the great work you are doing."

My friends from Colorado and I are truly indebted to you for your wonderful service and hospitality these past three days.
It has been a very special pleasure for me to see Israel through your eyes. You have a wonderful flair for explanation and queen insight.
Thank you, my brother
Israel, our country a beautiful place
The people, the history and Uri Weinberg's charm and grace.
You made David, Herod and others come alive from the start,
And we know it all came from your heart!
We laughed, we cried, we climbed, we talked
We listened, we questioned, we ate and we walked.
But more than our homeland we discovered a treasure –
URI WEINBERG, YOUR FRIENDSHIP CANNOT BE MEASURED!
Marge and Herb Gildenhorn
We began our journey expecting just another guide. We ended our trip having felt something few have an opportunity to experience – eight rich and exciting days with Uri Weinberg. You were not, as we would say in the U.S. a "run of the mill" guide, you were:
1. the smile that started each day;
2. the scholar that taught us daily about the living history of Israel and its people;
3. the inspiration that makes us proud to be Jewish.
4. the friend that shall not be forgotten.
You are the motivation that encourages us – no – drives us to return to your wonderful country soon.
NV Uri Weinberg – no vay will we forget you.

Uri our friend,
Those who meet with men and women of your zest for life, energy and fun are fortunate indeed. Mrs. Hayward and I are among them.
We thank you for bringing so much meaning into our visit.
